Buyer 1 and Buyer 2 had a mini bidding war for an item I had. They really went at it and scared all legitimate bidders off. With 3ish hours left in auction, Buyer 2 messages me and pleads to have me remove his bids. Apparently, he was no longer in need of the item he was so desperately trying to get🤔 I've only been selling for 5-6 years and am just over 1k items sold, so I'm an ebay baby comparatively speaking. I thought it was weird, cuz it had never happened b4 and a little bit too fortuitous for Buyer 1. How lucky he's now getting an item that was bid too $16 for the starting bid of $3.99. What luck. I thought about it and sent him a message saying that he needed to contact his pal and tell him not to bother paying me, I was born at night, but not last night. Buyer 2 never responded and Buyer 1 never messaged, tried to pay or even acknowledged me or his "great deal" Clearly, I was spot on. I've had it with scammers on ebay. One out of 10 or close to that % are trying to scam. My blocked buyers list is HUGE. I will screenshot it and post if I can. I'm not paranoid or weird, in fact I only just, this last couple months got my first neg feedback ever. Out of over a 1000 sales....freaking stellar performance. It's not easy to make my blocked list, I have to be 100% sure your scamming or I won't add. If I can post my list via screenshot l, I will, do yourself a favor, block every dishonest turd that I've blocked. AND CAN ANY SELLER TELL ME WHY EBAY TRIPS OVER THEMSELVES TO ACCOMMODATE THESE FLITH? BETWEEN THE REVERSE SCAMMER PROTECTION AND EVER INCREASING EXTORTION FEES AND VARIOUS OTHER TAXES AND TARRIFFS AND PENALTIES AND TRANSACTION FEES, IM LOSING ALL FAITH IN THIS FORMAT, FACELESS GREEDY CORPORATIONS AND HUMANITY IN GENERAL. Oh and I despise the automatic assistant with every fiber of my soul, my sad sad ever growing sadder with every ebay scammer encounter, soul. Thanks for reading. Please look for my next post with blocked buyers list. Let's all do this and shut these scamming losers down together ✌️ J

If your on it, I'll assume you can't see it and if you do see it, I already know everything I need to about who and what you are, so don't respond. EBAYERS DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND COPY AND BLOCK EVERY SI GLE ONE OF THESE "PEOPLE"
LETS 🤔 CLEAN ✌️ UP ⚡️ EBAY👍

Sorry, I know you are upset but 'naming and shaming' is prohibited on the Community boards. Even if sharing screenshots of a transaction where the buyer is not being a jerk or anything, their username and any personal info about them must be censored. It's just a privacy thing. If it was allowed, jerks would do it to innocent people, out of pure resentment.

The bidding you described does not sound like a typical scam. If it is some sort of a scam the scammer did not execute it very well. There was no need to beg for you to cancel their bid. All they had to do was not pay you. People change their mind sometimes. When eBay detects you have an interest in a item they will send you advertisements of like items. Sometimes a buyer will wish to cancel an order because something more appealing was offered.

All this brouhaha over a measly $16 ?

Yeah, $16 first time I've ever been screwed over by a dishonest ebayer, he said dripping with sarcasm...I should have known exactly what to expect from an ebay community forum. Thanks for nothing, but a worthless response that undercuts the intended message. You don't have anything better to do? If snarky **bleep** replies is what you have to offer, **bleep** off.

I usually do buy it now format, because auction format is where I have 90% of my problems. Idk why. For the record I said he messaged me pleading, not begging, either way it doesn't change the fact that I didn't get a single word in response or protest and I had to wait 4 days before blocking in order to cancel the sale for non-payment. If they weren't trying to get over on me, I'm pretty sure I would have heard about it and the guy maybe would have paid? Am I wrong? Now I know not to bother using ebay community forum to try and express frustration or warn sellers
Typical ebay, if it can suck, you vultures will find a way to make it suck more. What a waist of time

Thanks for your thoughtful comment, you've been added to my BBL.

Added to my Bestie list too.
Check out the negative FB and OPs response.
Wow!
eBay needs to clean house!

Laughing out loud.
Sixteen dollars (which you did not even lose) is chump change. 🤡
It does not rise to the level of a "screwing over."
As for the eBay community forum... we've all blocked you (I assume that was the "intended message") so we must be doing something right. 😁

I don't understand what they scammed you out of, you still have your item, you still have your money the only thing I can see that you lost was the time it takes to relist the item.
The people on these forums are donating their time to try and help people with questions or problems.
I have some suggestions about your feedback replies and your feedback left for others but I don't think you'll be receptive to them so I won't bother.
Like you said just keep adding to the BBL, I know I will.

Are you aware that there are over 18 Million sellers on eBay? How would you propose to warn them all of the problems you have had with these two buyers and everyone else on your blocked bidder list? Even if your "warning" is limited to the people who read this board, what are the chances of us having dealings with any of these buyers us extremely slim. Can you imagine what a horrific mess it would be if everyone wanted everyone else to know about all the buyers (or sellers) they have problems with and/or are on their blocked bidder list?

More likely they read your feedback and decided your not the kind of person they want to buy from. Honestly surprised eBay hasn't suspended you for that **bleep**. They certainly should.
"ITS UP TO US TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH"
I agree. Does anyone know a good way to report this and have eBay look at this guys FB? Dude is clearly unstable and a detriment to the seller community.
