I always print and save the Order Details for each sale as it is the complete transaction with all the expenses as far as with Bay.

@stephenmorgan

I noticed this as well, when searching for something else, clicked on it to view.  I do like that is it all in one place - have not imported yet into QuickBooks with the feature change, but hoping it does not change how we have it set up to capture the same data from the prior feeds.

Thanks for sharing this!!

I also noticed that if you need to see information from sale from last year, it to will display with this new format.  At least for me it did, I only had a few sales to look at.

This must be a phased rollout because my account got that change back in October.

So if others aren't seeing it yet, give it time and you probably will.

Yes - that is how I found it, I was trying to find an older transaction.  Thought at first it was an "older" transaction feature and then realized, it applies to all transactions, which is mighty nice.

Thanks, again for posting about it.  No idea when it rolled out, but only ran across it recently.  I am betting most do not realize the change, etc.

You are correct it must be getting phased in.

I just noticed it due to a recent sale.

In my two examples they are actually the same item.  I always save and print out the Orders Details so I have the first example from the end of December.  The second example is from yesterday.  It is the same item but it is in this new format.

I wonder what else is being phased in?

sorry for hijacking the thread, looking for some insights on this:

I got switched tonight to the new view of order details in the seller dash.

Tis changed unfortunately made the "normal view" (standard order details page for those without "seller account", was in the form of https://order.ebay.co.uk/ord/show?itemid=xxxxx&transId=0  and could be reached from here https://www.ebay.co.uk/mys/sold ) now that is not working anymore, they redirect to the "seller dashboard view" in the form of https://www.ebay.co.uk/mesh/ord/details?itemid=xxxxxxxx&transid=0&redirect=true# which is the one discussed here

Now, the standard "old" view included a more basic view which i founduseful and it included for example when the order was completed (order and payment specific time and date crucially), the new view only states date, not hours.

I know this is a pet peeve but does anyone know if this info is found somewhere or which one is the section of the forum to suggest features?

cheers

Hi, I get a problem with my order details page. It shows the wrong price and the wrong quantity for an order - how do I open a ticket? And, should I post the order number here or is that a security issue?

Thanks

   With all the negative, knee-jerk "change just for the sake of change" that eBay has been unnecessarily forcing on us the last few years, I must say that this is really a positive change.

   For years I have been printing the View Order Details page. Now I can do it without modifying my printer settings, and have all the important information as a permanent paper record in case any issues come up - including any potential tax audits. This includes the buyer's phone number in case I need to contact them, which I've had to do a couple times over the years when the buyer didn't respond to my messages on an important issue about their order.

   This change was well thought out and beneficial to all sellers... surprise!

Cheers, Duffy

I can't see much improvement with the new layout. I should note that the buyer's phone number has always been available; it's just that they have it concealed on the right side of the page now, where it was previously concealed on the left. They are also still removing the buyer's encrypted email address after two weeks for no apparent reason, even though eBay has said in the past that it remains valid for one year from the most recent purchase.

In addition, they have now lost the one-click copy function that used to be on the buyer's email address. You can still one-click copy-and-paste each individual field of the buyer's address (even the state abbreviation), but that functionality got lost from the email address when they moved it to the other side of the page. (You can still grab it, but it now takes a standard Windows 3-click routine to capture the entire string.)

Finally, they have still not fixed the bug that shows the wrong Shipping service. If the seller changes the Shipping method (e.g. I upgrade big or combined purchases from First Class Package to Priority Mail), the Order Details do not show the updated Shipping method, but the original one.

This appears to be yet another exercise in busywork that produces a new version that's slightly less functional than the last one, and still showing the same bug issues.

@stephenmorgan no it's not, if you offer "free" shipping, your expense isn't on there, if you use PLs, the PL fee isn't on there, the Transaction Fee isn't on there, if you refund any portion of the sale, that receipt becomes obsolete and isn't updated.

@nuclearomen:

   Oh, yes it is... I also offer free shipping. With one click, I get to see the selling price, the PL fee, as well as transaction fees, sales tax and shipping fees (which in my case are 0 because I don't use eBay's shipping/labeling service). I haven't had refunds to buyers in a couple years. The buyer's phone number is also right there without having to go thru any extra clicks... all on a permanent paper record of just one page, unless there is more than one page due to multiple purchases by the buyer. A great improvement!

   Perhaps you haven't been switched over yet?

my mistake, about the shipping, appears if you go back into the order details page the shipping cost is added to the receipt after you purchase (I do "free" shipping also)  - and the fees are there, but they are grouped together
Selling costs
Transaction fees
Shipping label
Ad Fee Standard

So if you have order multiple order, to see the break down of those costs have to go to managed payment portion of the transaction under All Payments. For instance sold 4 items, all 4 of those items were sold via PL, the View Details will tell you the total cost of those fees, but to record each individual charge for each item have to view "See More Details" for each individual charge. (That is the nice thing in this, click that link and you don't have to go searching  in All Payments for the transaction fees, it auto selects them and shows you only those of that order). But they are all there, which is the point I guess, just grouped together and not broken down,
