I have been forced to put a pic of my passport to verify my account to enable a payment to be made to me.

How long should this take as my buyer is waiting

Hi, it depends.

I see on this account that you have not been as active as a seller as you have been as a buyer recently. So just in case, let me ask—Are you signed up for Managed Payments?

PayPal is no longer the payment processor and all sellers have had to change over to the new processor.

EDIT: just noted that you are in the UK. You might be better off on the UK forum rather than here, the US-based forum. But always happy to assist.

This is a discussion forum for people who are registered and buy/sell on ebay.com. As previously recommended, you might consider asking this question on ebay.co.uk, since that is the platform on which you're registered, and it appears you list/sell exclusively on ebay.co.uk.

In the meantime, however, please understand that you do not wait until you receive a payout from eBay before you ship out your customer's purchase! You need to ship that out when your customer pays, not when you get paid. If you don't ship within your stated handling time, that defect will be recorded on your account.

Don't keep your buyer waiting if they have paid.

You need to ship.

Your hold to receive payment from ebay is between you and ebay.

Your buyer doesn't have to wait.. if they paid you ship. You can't hold a buyer's item hostage because ebay wants you to verify your identity.
