VeRO program

Design right (Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand only)

Patent rights (Europe)

Are these two policies only effective in those regions?

VeRO program

While copyrights, trademarks and patents can be limited to specific geographic  regions, I believe, many countries have treaties in which they honor those restrictions.  For example, the rights to books and movies may be limited to specific editions and sold separately to buyers for publication there only.  Some a specific to the language of publication.

The VERO program is set up to allow the rights owner to have a way to protect their interests without resorting to litigation unless necessary.
