Hi!
I've got my listing removed, and VeRO strike received just for using image substituted automatically from ebay catalog.
How this is possible at all? What should I do in this case?
I guess I should never use eBay provided images again, since this seems to be direct way into troubles.
But should I appeal current issue, and how?
Thank you.

Hi @usjoh-uswu7y, I just wanted to update you that I have heard back from the teams related to this topic; we've removed the violation from your account and are working to provide appropriate coaching to the agent that missed this was a Catalog photo. While we do still remove photos from the site if they are reported by the Rights Owner (even when this is in the Catalog), if we suggested the image for use then you should not be held at fault. Again, we've gotten your account squared away and I apologize for the trouble!
Additionally, we are working to improve our processes so that the agents who review these reports are less likely to miss when a photo is from the eBay catalog - at this time they must manually check the catalog and report any issues stemming from the images contained therein, but ideally there would be an automated/streamlined way for this info to be present during their review. The report passed along because of this thread has helped push forward some potential enhancements and I just wanted to say thank you for sharing the details with us! This could definitely help avoid issues/mistakes in the future and we really appreciate your part in helping us grow

@usjoh-uswu7y, can you post a link to the catalog page or provide the ePID number? The product team has said this isn't supposed to happen but we keep seeing the issue pop up.
@syedmhaq, please look into this and help the OP. Thank you.

Really surprising - I used the UPC to autofil literally a hundred DVD listings and never got hit with a VERO complaint for using the stock photo EBAY gave me.

Did you fill out the form yourself or did you provide the UPC info and let the system autofil the listing form?

A general look at the VERO process is long over due as well.
It's a rubber stamp.
