Validating Counterfeit Items

I recently sold a Carolina Herrera Good Girl Tote which was sent to me via a family member to sell on consignment. 2 weeks later eBay removes the listing stating it violates policy I spoke with the first representative which stated they were erring on the side of caution that I could send back in proof of purchase to authenticate the item. I spoke with another representative that stated they were relisting the item after submitting proof of purchase which was a screenshot from ulta beauty within minutes I get a message back claiming it’s denied. I reached back out to an eBay representative and they state I don’t need to worry about it as the item sold, transaction is complete but that someone other than the customer had reported it. I then ask why the appeal was denied when I uploaded the documentation. They stated there was no way to validate receipts of purchase. I then receive a email with deny of appeal again that has one bullet point stating my account may have received restriction or suspension. Has anyone had this happen?

Validating Counterfeit Items

Did the email say listing was taken down as counterfeit or VeRO?  As it sold before ebay removed it I wouldn't try to appeal it anyway as they won't take the money from the sale from you and if this is the first take down there shouldn't be any restrictions and the email was a warning to not relist. If you have any more of these items do not try to list them as the bot will probably be monitoring your listings more closely now and keep taking the listings down. If you do keep trying to list something ebay has taken down there WILL be restrictions.
