The OP is registered in the USA. I think he is talking about VAT that applies to items shipped to Europe from the USA, in which case it most definitely would be an issue for the USA site.

They do it on many orders, but there can be times when they don't. Did your item sell through the EIS program, or direct international shipping, for instance?

eBay does collect VAT when it is due. For example, here is what the checkout page looks like for one of your listings, with a shipping address in France:

It depends on the country and the amount of the sale. eBay collects VAT for purchase under $150.00 usually for most European countries. Any purchase total over that has to be paid by the buyer when it arrives in their country. That's why some show VAT paid, and others don't.
