Utilizing Terapeak is the first wise choice in finding all aspects of your particular piece. Yes, it is common to search to find the rare and obscure listing and details, but getting a solid overall price and the statistics of when the piece appears to sell is far more efficient for me. There are times when a piece requires more research of course, but using Terapeak will help you price competitively and efficiently. Having tested the efficacy of this tool, I implore others to look at the overall stats of a blue denim Levi’s red tab jacket and price accordingly. The filters are there to help in refining your listing. There are times to let it go quickly so as to move onto your other listings and a time to wait for that rate buyer. Now is the time to get your items out the door to invest in higher end pieces. eBay is drawing a new group of younger buyers who are willing to invest in pieces if they meet the higher standard they are looking for. Better 150 quality attractive items than thousands that sit and sit. Good luck as this is proving to work for me!

This is an eBay community discussion forum for eBay buyers and sellers, not Terapeak. Did you have a question?

Well as a seller why can I not discuss how I find Terapeak useful? Terapeak is for sellers. Many seem to be having difficulty moving merchandise presently and I feel doing comps and moving old inventory to then invest in something with more problems fit margin can be helpful. Are you the moderator?

Terapeak is useful to see what sellers are taking as best offers.
I am grateful they finally switched to median price instead of average price, but it is not often calculated correctly.
The chart of price over time would be more useful if it were a moving average price rather than just a price sold that day kind of graph.
Terapeak does a terrible job with things sold as lots or excluding words from search.
What is scary is eBays use of Terapeak data for price suggestions or using it as input to search algorithms.

You are selling low end items cheap and sales have not been that great for you as far as I can see, so experienced seller's here will most likely stick to the business model that is working for them rather than clearing items at a loss.

Well thank you for such encouraging words. As a former brick and mortar seller, I am learning e-commerce. I have merchandise, just learning all the protocols and what may work for me.

The more common the item you are selling, and the greater the number of competitors and offers, the more accurate and useful TeraPeak data is.
Where Terapeak is the most accurate are items I do not invest the effort in offering.
When the number of offers are small, it is easy to sell for much higher than the median price. Where the cutoff is number of offers is subjective.
Buyer purchase decisions are not made solely on price, nor any quantifiable and predictive metric. Merchandising is an art not a science.
