Only if you show a photo of what the buyer will receive. Personally, I avoid billboard tees... but some may buy them.

I have written a request for permission to use and describing the wording  and how it will be used only for that purpose. The wording is similar, that was an example of an allowable use in a different situation. I am looking to get contact to submit my request.

This is what I have been trying to do but no results mailbox full:

When written permission from eBay is required

You must request written permission from eBay for the use of eBay intellectual property as follows:

  • Any use of the eBay logo
  • Any use of eBay screenshots
  • Any use of the eBay name in books, on merchandise, or for sponsorships, including conferences

Please note that we reserve the right to deny your request at our sole discretion.

Submit your request using our.

I should  have been (under my logo on T-shirts)

You will have to make that change directly where you submitted the request. You are not contacting eBay or their employees on the community forums. We are other buyers and sellers and cannot help with that request. We can only offer suggestions on how to move forward.

If the mailbox is full, there is nothing we can do to expedite the matter or process.

Does seem a bit odd that the mailbox is full! Are you actually going through the eBay site or did you find something on the internet?

Thanks for the replies.

I went through the eBay site, where I pasted in my last response, the change I am talking about is the wording in my first post. I have yet to submit a request, that is what I am hoping to accomplish somehow some way. as I saved the letter of request after a few failed attempts. If there was a postal address I would mail it.

The part that concerns me is the merchandise. Does a T-shirt count as merchandise as I will have these shirts for sale. I would prefer to get permission or a notice asking. me for the wording for approval. I don't need to use the name but it would be referring those who see it to look on eBay weather they buy the product from me or someone else on the site. I guess not using the name is the move. Too risky without permission. A tough question to answer.

I don't understand.

You want to have your eBay user name and an announcement that you sell on ebay, printed on shirts but, they aren't for you, they're for people to buy?

I can't think of an instance where I would display, in public, my ebay seller or buyer id.
Nor can I think of an occasion where I would wear another seller's id.

Wow! the exact wording I am trying to use is (U-Can Find Me On eBay) My user name is not on the T- shirts, just my logo which will be my store name  example (John Doe, I sell stuff I don't need (U-Can Find Me On eBay) I see no harm in that  see I need Permission or at least from eBay permission to use. This is a trademark name  and I understand what that is. for such a simple saying on a t-shirt, I can Ditch the word eBay and be alright. I would like to use the word so I have to ask permission. I take it no one from eBay notices these postings, I have no way to request permission. I have to realize I can't use that wording. It works just fine without the word eBay. thanks but no one from eBay chimes in, it would have made a nice line on a t-shirt. well no shirts mention Ebay. This is a lot of work thinking this might  be a good thing. Thanks for those who responded. I think eBay a Representative should at least. respond so I and others will know for this question. no customer service on this one. Don't use the name. I wrote this in a response, I felt I had to clarify. My opinion after all this . Don' t use eBay nane.

EBay is a brand name, and you should ask EBay if you can use their name for your purpose.

My user name Is vinyl-1.  I am talking about my logo, a design I have been using on my business cards for years and it relates to the product I will be selling on eBay through an eBay store that I have yet to open. I am getting my inventory ready. The shirts will be advertising my product. I actually wanted my own online website, over my head right now. That is how I came up with (You Can Find Me Online)  I have decided after these posts to use a different version of my original idea and not use the eBay name. In time I might get my request letter where it needs to go.

I will have a product to sell and advertise where I can be found. The eBay name is out until I get confirmation that I can use it in that way. no luck with onsite permission email.

Thanks All
