Using a thermal label printer with ebay

Just bought a Zebra ZP-450 thermal label printer, and it works great.  Unfortunately, the formatting of the Fedex and USPS labels printed via ebay require me to use Photoshop to get them to work with the Zebra.  A pain.

I did searches about this, and found an instructional video clip that showed a printer preference option on the print label page on ebay.  It is not there at all when I do the same process.  Maybe this is no longer supported?

Any direction would be much appreciated.

There is this old discussion about the issue, does any of that information help?

USPS labels for the 4"x 6" size label should print directly to your Zebra 450, if you set the ebay printer format to the Zebra LP2844.  Do this in the Printer and Receipt Preferences.

FedEx labels however, always revert back to the laser/inkjet half sheet format, so you have to make some adjustments.  This may include reducing the scale and changing the orientation on the label so it fits.

First make sure your browser is opening PDF files with Adobe and not its built in reader.  From the Adobe label preview window you should be able to get the FedEx label to fit the 4"x 6" label outline shown.

I have a Zebra  GC420D (previously had a LP2844) and you need to make that your printer default, and make sure in the properties you have the 4 x 6 sizing (I know that firefox keeps wanting to make it 4 x 11 which prints two labels, so I have to change the properties each time).

The label should print out for USPS in the default viewer for Firefox, Edge and Explorer 11, but not sure which browser you're using, but in the new label "experience" I notice that it's defaulting to adobe - both work for me.

Yes, make sure printer properties are set to the correct label size of 4x6.

There should be no need to make the label printer the default, and generally better not to, unless things have changed since I last tried it.  You just have to make sure it is selected as the Target Printer in the ebay setup, which will then stick for future labels.  This should also help if properties keep getting changed by the browser page setup.

Once the LP2844 format is set, the output will switch back and forth from the 4x6 format for USPS to the half sheet format for FedEx.  The important thing is to insure that Adobe is opening the label.
