Update 9/21: Earlier this summer, impacted sellers were contacted directly via email and onsite messaging with details about required actions.

We’ve revised some categories and item specifics to help make your listings easier to find on eBay and by external search engines.

Starting today, you’ll see updates to the following categories:

Collectibles (Figurines)
Parts & Accessories (Motorcycle, Scooter, and UTV/ATV)
Home & Garden (Candles & Home Fragrance, Home Décor, Pillows, Furniture, Window Treatments & Hardware)

During this transition, your listing experience could be temporarily impacted, as well as the visibility of your listings. You may notice some item specifics changing names, listings moved to different categories, or some listings temporarily not appearing in searches.

Any affected listings should return to normal within a week, though some effects to listings’ visibility in searches may continue for up to three weeks.

We understand these updates will take extra time and may cause some frustration, but our goal is to help you increase your listings’ visibility and sales.

The stock market does not think much of ebay. Most have it listed as sell or hold if you want to hope it goes back up some day. Not one has it listed as buy. That says a lot about how sales are going.

The attached post and other similar sums up what I passed on to you a short time ago on dot ca. I believe you said it was being looked into and it would passed on to the correct department. Has there been ANYTHING in the way of this getting better instead of worse?

The drop in sales since May 2022 is worse!

They dropped the “bots” counts and that seemed

to mess everything up! LOWEST SALES EVER

IN 20 YEARS! So hold on to your item specifics

seen nothing YET!

It's difficult to know if there is a direct tie in to this or not but from past experience when buyers could see views and ALL watchers in many cases it led to sales. When they made watchers visible after (5) suddenly I would have a sale for that item when it reached 5. I have lotz of items listed. Very few with 5 watchers. My interpretation has always been if there was visible interest on an item in some cases it caused a sale. Buyers not wanting to miss out. As for the reason they keep removing features like that the rational is beyond me. Streamlining??? Someone with more infinite wisdom decided it was clutter???

Like are views actual clicks or just someone scrolling by in a blind flurry or accidentally just seeing a bunch of stuff that is promoted? Similar to when you go to the mailbox, quickly breeze through the junk and bills and choose what to keep. eBay has become Where's Waldo to the 9th degree.

The app is unusable now. I literally have ZERO ability to list. At all. ZERO sales. ZERO money coming in. I pay you $27.95 a month to have this store and Im betting you will be charging me that without a hitch. I am enclosing screenshots of your tomfoolery. Why did you even change what wasn't broken in the first place?? GET IT FIXED OR PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS!

Also...I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ebay...before you tell me to update, etc. This is on TWO Android devices that were working last month just fine. Heck...last few years. Samsung Tab S6 and A71 phone. Same EXACT results.
