How often does ebay require you to update your identity information?

Would you be more specific please.  There can be a few reasons why Ebay may ask you for this information.  I could be because info you submitted to register in MP has a problem.  Or it might be a random security check as those will happen from time to time for as long as the site exists.  PP does them too.
