Is anyone else seeing an unusual amount of buyer remorse returns? (December 2024 through Fed 2025)
Is it the economy, lookey loos? or what?
The cost of postage is ridiculous, nearly $5 for a 4 oz package.

Yes, there have been. I reported some questionable issues to eBay that a few buyers have been doing (using the Report a Buyer function) to get refunds. Moreover, I agree that the current regime of US Postage Rates on the commercial side, and the latest Media Rate, are excessive. Nevertheless, I still refund these buyers right away and use that under "Refunds" in my tax returns, then block the buyer and move on to the good buyers (a majority).

I'd never thought about it, but I suppose if the items were bought as gifts... remorse returns would make sense.

None in the last 500 transactions at least.

I pay a lot more
I pay priority mail and I attach insurance + signature and I offer free returns . I can sleep at night this is why and also if there is an issue with shipping priority mail has investigation other shipments Lower than this class do not .I know ebay wants a seller to ship to the correct address but when you have a buyer missing a shipment it can lead to a case .
Now regarding returns . I attach a lot of images and yes you can received a WAVE of returns but I promise you for every return if you do good business you will get double the business .
I had a buyer come to my shop and buy 6 items and filed a return request and also rejected the shipments so all of the shipments were returned to me ( back to sender ) and I had also to provide free return label which he never used . I asked ebay to cover the cost of the shipment but I never followed through with it . I will call them tomorrow and ask because they threw me under the bus with a scammer from ST. Thomas
