Unpaid item

Hi! Does anyone what to do in the situation where an item sold on April 12 but still hasn't been paid yet? Ebay won't let me cancel it even though now it's April 20.  When I try to cancel it, it says "You can't refund this order quite yet because payment is still being processed. Please try after some time". I'm pretty sure it's a scam offer anyways because it was a full price offer, which I usually never accept because I know they're always scams, (got a lot of those offers my first few weeks selling). I would like to just get this canceled so I can relist my item to get it sold but it looks like I may have to wait the full 30 days? Is that just how it is now?

You should just be able to go to the drop down and cancel for non-payment.

You do not want to "refund" because there was no payment.

The payment waiting time is 4 days.

Cancel on the 5th day. Reason: Buyer did not pay.

Yeah, what happens is it lets me click on the item I would like to cancel (on the cancel an order page), so I do, and then it takes me to a page that says "You can't refund this order quite yet...." which I don't know why it says that, because they for sure did not pay. It's like a glitch or something I just can't figure out. It doesn't let me cancel for non-payment anywhere.

It's just confusing because it's been 8 days since I accepted their offer and they've had since April 12th to pay, that's well over the 5 day mark. It should let me cancel but Ebay still thinks the payment is processing but they are never going to pay.

If not - all I can suggest is you go to eBays FB for business page and send a private message.

Put in the item number and the issue, that they never paid and you cant cancel.

I have heard that they are very helpful.

Lol no, I clicked the "best answer" button on accident and then didn't see how to undo it. Thanks for the help, I will try your suggestion!

Try this if you haven’t yet….In  sellers hub go to all orders.  Next to that order you should see a drop-down arrow. Click on that to see a list of options.  Click on cancel and  choose buyer didn’t pay as the reason for the cancellation.

I just saw your message and tried that. For some reason canceling the order isn't an option given. I don't understand why because for my other pending orders canceling them is an option. It's like this weird glitch where Ebay thinks the payment is processing or something but I accepted the offer on April 12, so they are never going to pay for this. Thanks for the suggestion though!
