Unfair feedback -heads up

This lady is a jock. She bought an item for 0.99 cents The item got lost in mail according to her words. She created a really big issue. After giving her a refund I offered to ship her item again for absolutely no charge including international shipping. She refused and left negative right after. Please, sellers avoid her from UK. She is a cheap trouble maker and angry person.

If she didn't get her item how is this unfair? Perhaps she noticed she was not the first person whose item didn't show up and didn't want to play games.

It doesn't matter if the item was .99 cents or 9k, if it didn't arrive, you've got problems.

Also when you respond to feedback, it needs to be calm and professional, one reply was removed (I assume due to a violation on your part) and the other makes you sound rude and angry.

It's 99 cents.

Refund, express concern for her loss*, tell her that she can return the refund when the delayed package turns up using Paypal's Send Money service**, move on.

Or get stressed, react angrily, be forced to refund the payment, get a black mark from eBay for that, get a neg from the customer, post angrily to the Boards, leave angry Response to feedback.

And you are still out the 99 cents.

Which won't buy a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

*try to sound sincere.

**this works about half the time.

Did you ship with tracking?  If not, how do you know that she isn't telling the truth?  Sometimes things do get lost in the mail, especially going internationally.  I once sent a Christmas card to my friend in the Netherlands... she finally got it in June.

Negative FB never feels any good.  It can be difficult to come to grips with it.  It however is ALWAYS in YOUR best interest to NEVER take it personally and certainly come to grips with it BEFORE making a public comment about it.  I take it since your response to the FB was removed by Ebay you let your emotions get the better of you on this.  As a seller I can understand how darn upsetting this can be.  But as a small business operator, you need to treat it as business.

You hurt yourself when you comment publically in any way that isn't professional and polite.  Other potential customers see your comments and may choose not to purchase from you because of how you reacted / responded to the harshness of receiving that negative FB.  And BTW your customers FB posted was simply factual and not a personal attack on you.

You are selling feedback (ie, 99 cent recipes) and you got a neg for it.

Karma bites.

Using private listings to hide all those recipes in your feedback works.  But it has a possibly unwanted side effect of hiding what the negs are for - potential buyers might think that the negs are for some of the legitimate items you also sell.

How can that even make any sense? Selling for 99 cents and shipping by USPS Ground which starts much higher than 99 cents. Listings like this allow scammers to pad their feedback to make their scams work better.

I would assume they are being emailed.  Seller just didn't bother to list a more believable shipping method.

She's lucky she hasn't had a bunch of people play games and file SNADs.
