Understanding general promotion fee calculations

Please correct me if I'm wrong.  My understanding is that on a promoted sale, the promotion % is calculated on the final value fees, shipping and sales tax combined.  So, on top of the 13ish% FV fee, I would have to pay the promotion % on top of everything else combined?

Understanding general promotion fee calculations

General promotion listing fee are taken from total amount of the sale. Purchase price+ shipping + tax. Final value fees are also taken from purchase price + shipping + tax. Promotion fee and final value fees are charged separately.

Example... if your fvf is 13.25% and your promoted listings fee is 2% you are paying 15.25% for the sale in fees.

it is calculated on the FINAL SALE price.  If you sold it for 10.00 then the fee is calculated on 10.00 PLUS the shipping and sales tax if any.  So you pay the final value fee PLUS the promotion fee.

The FVF is calculated on the total price: item price, any shipping, and any sales tax.

The General Campaign Ad fee (Promoted Listing fee) is calculated on the same thing.

So, if your FVF is 13% and you chose 13% as your ad fee, you will basically be paying double what you would have paid without the Ad Campaign.
