So. Made Ebay acc this year and spend over thousand Euros. Without any problem
Then sold one stupid game to Brasil for 0.99 (5.99 with postage) and just because Ebay cant count (counted delivery time Slovakia - Brasil - 2 weeks!!!) i lost my money. Or better said, they stole it.
It is pretty common to have delivery time 1-2 months, specially overseas, one order is counted to be delivered in September! But stupid Ebay counts it for 2 weeks... then guy from Brasil, 2nd in Corona worldwide, so obviously pretty **bleep** up, contacts me why its not there. Told him that he should wait as it takes longer now. He said ok, he will wait 10 more days.
After 5 Ebay stole money of my Paypal. Like seriously. I had chance to stole stuff i bought (got send 100e worth coin in common package into my mailbox) but i didnt. Why would i do it in much cheaper thing?
Now i consider two options. Will make further transactions and all without delivery will mark as not delivered.
Other option which is more suitable for me is, that i delete account on this **bleep** webpage and will wish them and that brasil guy all the best - specially will hope that Karma exists and works!

You have had over 1000 euros worth of successful transactions.
You shipped a 5.99 (euro?) item to Brazil. Delivery was late (gosh , you'd think there was an international plague or something).
The buyer was impatient and opened a Dispute.
You cannot prove delivery (not shipping, Delivery).
EBay refunded the buyer.
You have a bigger problem than 5.99 euros.
Because you did not refund the buyer voluntarily, you got a Defect on your selling account.
EBay is very strict about that.
This is business , not personal.
At the best of times, Brazil is a questionable market. The people are fine, but the postal and customs services are terrible.
You can when you are listing, Block countries you do not want to ship to. Entire continents if you like.
South America and Africa are both unpopular with sellers - mostly for bad postal systems.
(In Africa I have no problems with RSA, Morocco or Egypt, but the rest... hmmm.)

You have more options.
Don't ship world wide.
Have a long handling time but mail the next day.
Offer the slowest shipping but ship it expedited.
Don't register the package because that slows delivery because everyone that touches it has to sign for it.
Get tracking to protect you from non delivery claims.
Don't sell something expensive that requires a signature delivery because some carriers have announced due to distancing to stay safe during Covid-19 they won't require signatures.

Good points but:
Don't register the package - Registration is a very old tracking system BUT in the past few years most countries have decided only to track Registered packages domestically. That is, once it leaves the country, it is no longer tracked.
carriers have announced due to distancing to stay safe during Covid-19 they won't require signatures.
EBay has announced that they are accepting as Confirmed, items that require Signature, but are signed for by the carrier.
I have doubts about this- thinking in terms of theft from mailboxes.
Better would be to mark the shipment NO SAFE DROP /HOLD FOR PICKUP. And while this may be a checkmark on the label, I'd be adding the words with a Sharpie.
