guys - i underestand first class mail weight limit is 16oz but parcel post is 70lb right? Why doesn't parcel post appear as an option in ebay shipping tool? Any other good online resource to print those labels at home and hand to the mailman and save the inconvenience of going to the post office
thanks

I shipped 3lb on the nose (no extra ounces) from VA to CA yesterday for $14.88. Luckily, I had a flat rate of $14.80* in the listing so I'm out only $.08 plus $1.48 for the bleep ebay shipping fee.
No, I could not have used a RR box for the widget. And they are very, very flimsy. mho
I've noticed on most of the widgets I have, for unknown why-did-I-buy-this reasons, listed now that the shipping rates are sky high. These are hard to find items that most likely a buyer would not object to paying the higher costs. It's like "Eureka I Found Grandma's Gravy Boat!" Something I should ponder...
I also refunded money to 2 buyers yesterday; they lived closer to me.
*Which is how I calculated the shipping cost - VA to CA - since ebay has me on the West Coast viewing channel most of the time.

False.
?? I copied that right from the USPS website. It's on both of these pages:
https://store.usps.com/store/product/shipping-supplies/priority-mail-regional-rate-box---a1-P_RRB_A1
https://store.usps.com/store/product/shipping-supplies/priority-mail-regional-rate-box---b1-P_RRB_B1
How do you think they are best used, Sam? I'm genuinely curious.

I don't know what y'all sell, but if you sell booklets and magazines like I do, RRA boxes will quickly become your best friend. You can put A LOT of those things into an RRA sideloader. 15 pounds from MS to CA - $10.29
If you need a larger box, RRB would ship the same weight for $18.47.
Order some here. You never know when you may need them.

One of the reasons that everyone is still so confused about the Regional boxes, even though they have been around for years, is that much of the guidance on the USPS.com web site about them is poor or even wrong. That quote from USPS is one of the misleading statements that seems to have been written by somebody who didn't understand the boxes at all.
If you have a 10-pound item but it fits in a Regional A box so you can ship it at the 2-pound rate, then of course the farther it ships the MORE you'lll save. The "short distances" part is just plain wrong.
There used to be a Regional C box. It had a weight limit of 25 pounds, and the postage cost matched the price for shipping 17 pounds, so there was a very narrow range in which it would actually save sellers money.

The Regional C's make very good packing boxes for hoarder things stuck up in the attic.
Just sayin'...

Hi, the boxes are flimsy I agree, I suggest lining them with cut out cardboard pieces that fit the inside with the usual packing materials you would normally use if you can still fit the item in the box. I use the A's often but have not used a B box in over 2 years since the last 2 rate increases made them a waste of money and useless!
