Since the payments through USPS are processed through PayPal, is there any advantage to offering free shipping with USPS on eBay? Thank you.

If you are in Managed Payments, payments to the USPS are only processed through PayPal if you choose to pay for them through PayPal. You can also choose to pay them from your available balance.

I know that when you use USPS here on eBay, and you are a top-rated seller, you get double insurance protection for free (so instead of $50.00 of free insurance, you get $100.00 of free insurance). 🙂

All ebay labels are charged at the commercial base rate whether through PayPal or through your pending funds.
TRS sellers are given the commercial plus rate with $100 insurance as opposed to the regular $50
So no, there is no advantage.

The shipping labels cost you the same amount when you offer "free shipping"(shipping included) as they do when you charge the buyer for shipping as a separate line item, so I have no idea what your question means🤔
Buyer's paying for shipping as a separate line item could same you a tiny %age if the buyer delivery location does not charge sales tax on the shipping portion of their purchase. Sellers are charged the FVF %age on the entire amount paid by the buyer, so if the buyer pays less in sales tax, the seller fee is lower.
You can pay for your PP labels with a cash back CC by keeping a zero balance in PP using the card as a back up, but it has nothing to do with "free shipping" on your eBay listings.
You can use other label sources,(stamps dot com, or pirateship) and pay the costs with a cash back CC, but it has nothing to do with "free shipping" on your eBay listings
