This hasn't happened to me in awhile but hate when it does. Yesterday I had two auctions that ended with bids and still no payment for either. They were early bidders; both bid days in advance to the end time so I am making the assumptions they haven't been online or don't have time to do the payment at the moment. I am also taking into consideration it is a holiday week and things may be a little topsy turvy for some people.
All that said, I am giving them until tomorrow and if I still dont't recieve payment I will send a friendly reminder. Don't you just hate when this happens?

so if the winner paid after Friday ... does it mean, you'll only be able to
send the item out by the following Friday? or after the weekends - Monday??

*still rollin' with the punches*
Hi Lucas,
Typically all of my auctions end Thursday early in the day and generally I receive immediate payment. They get shipped on Friday with the rest of bins from the week. *However* in cases like these 2 items (though one did pay late last night), so now only remaning 1 awaiting payment case, if they pay after Friday I do make provisions and get the sale shipped 1 day after payment whenever that may be. It's just a slight inconvenience to me, but I always meet my shipping requirement.
It's a system I have in place that has been working thus far. If it stops working I will change things.

If you schedule your listings to end Thursday, and promise one-day handling, why even include that statement? You know it will be overridden if a buyer doesn't pay immediately. It just gives the impression that buyers may not get their item promptly.
As far as your statement that it's "been working thus far", how many people chose not to bid/buy after reading it? No way to know, is there?

I do like that you expect payment right away (without saying it in your listings), but only ship once a week. I understand the reason why you can only ship once a week, don't get me wrong.
@audioarchive Look again. My auctions are all listed as TRS+ with one day handling time. These two wins will be sent within 1 day of payment. My auction buyers usually pay immediately when the auction ends.
You seem rather blunt. No offense.
I did look, so if you have 1 day handling, then you should avoid any confusion and take this out of your listing descriptions:
"PLEASE NOTE DUE TO PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS I USUALLY CAN ONLY SHIP ONCE A WEEK: ON FRIDAYS. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING."
I take no offense to being called blunt. I most certainly am and honestly, sometimes people need to hear things straight without the sugar coating to make them feel all tingly inside. I don't usually mean to offend, and I know it can come across that way.
If you haven't gotten payment yet, I hope you do soon. Have a good weekend.
@audioarchive I make a run to the PO every Friday. My bins are 4 day handling time and I do not care when they pay. My auctions typically end on Thursday morning and are a 1 day handling time and I like when they, as usually do, pay immediately. There is no confusion -- I ship on Fridays. (But when/if an auction is paid later I will make provisions and send when they do pay).
Both of my auction winners have paid and both of their items were shipped today and all is well.
I don't think that it's that complicated. No offense was taken, trust me.

@thatsallfolks I've been explaining this on this board for over 2 years now.
Not your fault, but I am exhausted from it.
1) It's just a template I use for my listing that mentions I mail on "fridays". Most of my items are bins and for bins I have a 4 day handling time and do mail on Fridays. I could remove that line when I list auctions but don't think/remember to do so.
2) The reason I only mail on Fridays is because I am living between residences and only have access to my inventory on Thurs & Fri when I am at residence #2. My ng needs to coorespondent to that. I have mobility issues and it's a personal matter.
3) If buyers can not wait an extra few days for shipment then I am not the seller for them. Not a single one of my costumers has ever complained. There's been many who have told me I "ship fast" as a matter of fact.
It's working for me.

Explaining it does clarify, but if it has to be explained, then it's confusing. And confusion can lead to lost sales. Just sayin'
Glad you got paid for one of them. I hope the other pays you soon, too.
