In the year since I've been doing these eBay sales I only ever had one cancellation, and that was from someone who's young son had gotten into their eBay account on their phone and ordered something.
Now I've gotten two cancellations in two days, normally I wouldn't be bothered by this, people have their reasons for cancelling purchases, and I issued refunds for both, but two in two days when I've barely made any sales in the past 3 months? Plus to my knowledge I'm still paying the PayPal transfer fee, that is kind of frustrating...
I hope this pattern doesn't continue.

Sorry this happened to you.
Some buy depending on bid retractions and cancellations to bail them out.
The verbage, you are entering into a binding contract" seems to be disregarded.
They don't know that bid retractions and cancellations are to be used rarely, if at all.
Sorry you got two in a row; hopefully just a bump in the road, and you don't see any more of them!

I know in my day once you bought something you kept it. You honored your obligation.
Nowadays people buy double of what they want just to get the free shipping and return half of it back.
Or they bid, see something better, and cancel it.
Or they even win the auction and with their short attention span, no longer are interested.

I don't mind cancelling if a buyer asks for a cancellation, but two in a row when I've only ever had one, and while I'm in a really bad slump, seems like a little much.
As far as I know, I still have to pay that $0.30 transfer fee from PayPal, not sure if I have to pay one both ways or not, but, to go from an almost $400.00 pure profit to a loss... yeah, I'm sure you can see where I'm going with that.
Even if it's just a small loss, to go from that much profit to any loss on an item that that is 100% profit, that's frustrating.

The main reason is the GOTCHA sucker like items priced cheaper that are shown to a buyer once they purchase your item. Sometimes its just pennies other times it can be as high as 50% difference. The search is so hosed you never know for sure what is listed and what is being shown to a buyer....
