Trying to scam me

I was selling a pair of sunglasses and the buyer tried to get me to buy an extra gift card then sent me a bunch of fake emails from paypal and ebay saying to send verification with the back scratched off.  how do I get the buyer banned? They kept sending me this email over and over. I do not know how to contact ebay and talk to someone. I have all emails and texts.

Trying to scam me

It's a good thing you realize this buyer is a scammer.  First, you need to put this user on your blocked bidder list.

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

Then you can contact eBay through the Help and Contact option found on the menu at the bottom of the summary page.  I have found it easier request that they call me.    They actually call back in minutes.  Or you can contact eBay through their Facebook page.  Definitely do not respond to this buyer at all.

I have all emails and texts.

First, you should never respond to the text me scammers.  If they can entice you (against ebay policy) to communicate off the eBay site,  in the first place, they see it as an opportunity to expand the scam even further by requesting the gift cards as well.

These are criminals. They have no intention of paying you and use the information (that you shouldn't have provided them anyway) for the purposes of scamming you.

You cannot report these people to eBay on site UNLESS you accepted an offer through the REAL make offer flow, or they are a winning bidder or buyer of one of your listings.  You can always contact customer support, and report the IDs, but there are plenty more where these are coming from and likely a wasted effort on your part.

These criminals work the site 24/7/365 and target new or low feedback sellers who are more likely to fall for their program.  As you gain feedback, and fail to respond, they will eventually move on to "fresher meat" so to speak.

To slow them down, you can use a "fixed price/immediate payment required" format and DO NOT use the Best Offer feature until you learn to recognize the typical 'text me scammer' profile before they even start the scam attempt.

Congratulate yourself for NOT falling for the gift card scam, others are not so fortunate.
