I"m a new seller, I tried to revise an item. I made the changes to lower my offer amount so I would actually get offers sent to me. After I made the change, it would not accept it. I'm getting a message "something is missing please fix issues and try again.... AUTO ACCEPT AMOUNT . I don't have an auto accept amount on the page. How am I supposed to fix it? I tried chat, but am not getting an answer.
Can someone tell me how to add this feature? Heck, I'd like to do it on all my listings.
Thanks.

Hi @caffecoop ,
Fixed priced listings with less than 12 hours remaining can not accept changes. If they have a pending offer they can not accept changes. If neither of these apply and you can not find the setting they are referring to consider switching to the Business listing tool for future listings and you can End that one and start over.
When it is recommended that Sellers change to the Business tool it may be because of a strange occurrence. The tool is comprehensive and used by eBay Store owners and many of us here are familiar with it. Below is a link to switch, ignore the warnings not to switch. Once you switch you will have to create new listings opposed to being able to revise existing ones with the Business tool.

For myself I don't use the Offer function, all it does is drive down prices. I price items for the amount I want to sell them for and as competitively as possible.
Here is what I do for virtually everything I sell, Sold search. You can see how other Sellers list, describe, illustrate and ultimately sell like items.
SOLD SEARCH
You are asking the right question when it comes to listing your items for sale. Sellers need to research what things actually sold for as a guideline for how they price their items. You can do that on eBay by typing the name of the item in the Search window then clicking search.
The list that is returned will be current listings and what people are asking for their items. Next, look over in the left gutter and scroll down to the Sold filter box and check it. The list of items from search will now update to what they actually sold for in the last 90 days. You will notice the prices are green and any with a strike through line means they were sold as the result of a Best Offer. In this case the actual selling price is unknown but lower than the displayed price.
When it comes to collectibles keep in mind that the sold search is just a guideline and you should not be afraid to price your item higher if you consider your item is in better condition than the ones you see on the list.

Thanks for your advise. It is much appreciated. I think you're right about not accepting offers. As a buyer on ebay I place offers on items I am interested in. However my offers are not insulting to the buyer. Some of the offers I get are unbelievably low! Again, thanks.

@caffecoop Any time. I get offers messaged to me and many are low BUT my Descriptions all have "Questions welcome" so I always respond and politely decline.
