When I'm trying to sell an item on eBay, I'm having trouble loading photos from my desktop. I click on the photo that I want to place into the offering, and a little circle starts to spin, but the photo doesn't ever get into the ad. The circle keeps spinning until I turn the computer off. What am I doing wrong?

What browser are you using? We had to switch to Edge and stop using Firefox as those were the types of issues we kept having with Firefox.......
Have not been over to the technical board.......are there posts over there about this also?

Make sure all your photos are under 12,000 KB.
If the picture is over that size, you sometimes get errors - other times "a little circle starts to spin" and you end up in never-never land.

I called eBay today. They told me it's a known issue and they wrote up a ticket. I 'm not holding my breath.
The odd thing, some of my photos (all correct sizes) load and some spin. All the ones that failed are chrome-colored items. I'm sure it's not relevant, but hey, my conspiracy of the day 😁
I use desktop 100% of the time. I do a lot of make copy option (on my sold items) and then tweak them. It helped when I abandon the listing that was giving me issues and try a different one to copy. It worked. Hope that makes since. Maybe try that.
I know all the clear cookies, reboot, use different browsers etc. Its not the issue for me. There are many posts on this issue right now.

I have seen some photos (the right size) spin and not load.
I just load those into Faststone Image Viewer (free) and use the save-as feature. Loaded fine after save-as.
With oversize pictures I use the save-as feature and lower the quality until size drops below 12,000 KB. Didn't notice any problems with picture quality.

I've had this happen from time to time and have put it down to site traffic. I try later and it's OK. It hasn't been a problem lately (I use Firefox) but for a while it was a real pain. Not sure if that helps at all.

Thanks for the info, Is the faststone Image viewer an ebay tool or app to download to computer?
Thanks.

For Windows... link is below. I've only tried the first one in the list (free) which is great. I just started having eBay problems with photos. I will probably end up downloading and trying the photo resizer (last in list and also free). First one is great for browsing photos (and video)...

The inadequacy of eBay's IT staffing, systems' infrastructure, and comms pipes are profound with history repeating itself not for just a few minutes or hours, but over the years. Almost never (always?) does eBay post a standby-we're-working-the-problem message for users. For Macs it's often even worse. Wish I could suggest a workaound, but all I can do is gripe and lose more time, customer/user confidence, and income.
