Have been on here going on 30 years. Listed an item with opening bid that is less than someone else has already achieved in their auction for the exact same item, with time remaining. Hours later receive a message from another Ebayer "letting me know" that my item is worth less than half of my opening bid. "Just trying to help out a fellow ebayer" they say. Their user name includes the company name of the item I am auctioning. I double checked the auction and now the other ebayer has achieved nearly double my opening bid, 4x what this "expert" says my item is worth. ODDLY ENOUGH they had just listed 2 copies of the exact same item. So apparently what they meant by saying they were "just trying to help a fellow ebayer" was trying to get rid of competition for themself. Did they think I would take my listing down? How are they "helping" if it costs nothing to list? Trolls.
