Transition from no store to store.

Well i got my new avatar/icon thingy. No more Digger the Dermatophyte.

I'm finally going to go ahead and pull the trigger and open up a store on June 1 .

Keeping in mind i am a complete and total computer idiot, what is the transition like? Is there alot to do? Is there anything to do?

I miss Digger!!!

It's real easy, and you can design your own storefront very easily, too, just by picking some templates.

You can chose a name for your store or not.

Job one, though, is to set up your categories so that your items will be properly found in your store - categories and subcategories. They can be changed, added to or subtracted.

Why did you decide to transition to a store after being a seller for so long?

Hope it works out for you...but I'll miss Digger

I've been running the numbers and just as alot of you have told me, i will be saving money every month with a store. I also buy ebay shipping supplies so i will save some money there too.

As far as Digger, it was just his time to go.   LOL

I wasn't aware of the ongoing discussion you were having about possible savings.

Makes sense...I was afraid it might be one of those midlife crisis things like switching from tidy whities to silk boxers...

Good luck!

Use the category feature if you plan on putting up a large number of listings.

Congrats!!!

What store level did you choose?  Why now?  With the current promos you have 250 free listings for the next couple of months.  Do you plan to have more listings that that?

Transition from no store to store.

Good question.

I was going to go with the "basic" plan.

Why now?  I'm not sure?  I should have done this long ago. 😃

Right now i have around 200 listings and i am comfortable with that. Hopefully this will give me the incentive to get me up to the 250 mark.

Transition from no store to store.

You have to set up your in-store Categories.  The default when a seller starts a new subscription is that they automatically get one category which eBay calls 'Other" and all of their listings are in the "Other" category. Use the links above to get acquainted with how to set up your own specific categories for your store.

I've set up some categories.

Now that i have some categories set up, how to i put listings in those categories?

Can a listing be in more than 1 category?
