Traffic metrics

For lots of reasons relating to Covid-19, it seems online sales are slowing. This is my experience, what I read and see online, and it makes sense with lockdowns ending, unemployment up, federal financial assistance down, etc.

I'm interested to know how traffic has changed for sellers generally since last month. If you're willing to share your numbers, please post them.

The image below is from the main Performance page on the Seller Hub. You can also get these numbers at performance/traffic. The date range for my numbers is July 27-August 23.

I'm guessing there will be a wide range depending on things like what you sell, if you made price or availability changes, etc, but I'm curious to see what the range is, and what other sellers are experiencing.

I still don't understand any of that stuff.  My sales are down 50% due to site glitches and the fact that I am low on laptops.  Trying to process inventory people would want currently.

Traffic measures how many people are seeing your listing in search results, clicking on it, and making a purchase.

But if you're having inventory issues and glitches, that's probably another matter entirely, and your traffic numbers would likely be thrown off by them.

I am not sure if hiding those numbers matters, but these are mine

My stores been closed for a few days. I`m keeping it closed until I see some improvement with the USPS and my current issue is resolved fully. I didn`t bother to hide my numbers because I really don`t care who sees them and i really have no solid grasp at what they actually mean or what factors affect them.

I am a low volume seller. I sell things that nobody needs and very few people look for to begin with. I sell wants to a limited group of people. When my traffic is down, my sales go up. It's always been like that.  No idea why. I don't keep up with statistics like this, but when I do, that's what I see. Views up = sales down and vice versa.
