I know there's always a "Summer slump" but this year it's incredibly awful. I noticed a severe change about 2 weeks ago.
Does anyone know if ebay changed anything in the last 2 weeks?

Well, I can't blame "The Economy" because stuff is selling on other sites no problem and locally stores are busy. So dunno.

I have been doing better the last few weeks...what a surprise.
So if you have 50 of the same item for sale...I don't need to purchase it immediately...that's a downfall.
I'll purchase it because there are 50 available and don't need it when it's the summer and there are other items I want to buy in the summer.
Listing one item vs. 50 will make a difference. Just a thought.

On ebay, there always happens to be some type of slump in progress, summer, winter, spring, & fall
Adapt as best you can, explore
possible changes & available options
Have you decided on the length of time that you can/ will tolerate abysmal ebay sales ?

Well whatever they did they sure shut us down. I don't understand the self-destructive nature of the ebay management team. If we don't make money they don't make money. I was having a great year so far until the last few weeks. Now they've gone and done it. By trying to get us all to sign up for their "PL advanced" scheme they've shut off the faucet to organic sales. I refuse to pay per click on an ad. The stuff I sell isn't good for off site banner ads. It's specific buyers I need and if they're shutting off my visibility it's just not right.
Ebay, if you're reading this... Let's get back to making money again. Turn my visibility back on please. I won't sign up for PL advanced so stop wasting our precious time.
Lastly... I can't AFFORD to pay for advertising campaigns if I'M NOT MAKING MONEY!!

Amazon booksellers are complaining of a huge drop in sales. It is not just Ebay.
Whether or not it is the economy, the first week in July is usually the biggest vacation week of the year. That hurts sales.
I am thrilled for the local tourist dependent businesses. Business is good. So is the weather.
I am being helped by export sales on Ebay, but it is slow.
According to the July 3 WSJ in an article on the clothing resale market.
eBay dominates the resale market online .... Neither ThredUp nor RealReal is expected to turn a profit on the basis of generally accepted accounting principles for the next four years
So maybe Ebay is not doing as badly as some think, and maybe it might be the economy. Or maybe it might be each individual seller's inventory and how competitive they are.
Been selling through past booms and busts. Feels a lot like a bust.
