Hello

im looking for a reliable trading assistant to oversee the auctioning on eBay of the contents of my former home in london. My belongings are in a storage facility in north west london

You may be registered on the eBay.com but are asking about help selling items in the UK. Suggest you go to the UK board and ask.

We are not going to know how things work over there compared to here in the US, like taxes and other costs above eBay fees. Some here are going to suggest just to liquidate to someone over there and let them dispose of the items.

I have no idea what the situation may be in the UK, but in the US the eBay Trading Assistant program died many years ago, as did its replacement the eBay Valet program. Selling for others has so many pitfalls and potential liabilities that few, if any, experienced sellers will do it here in the U.S.
