Looking for a person or company in Northern California that would sell item on eBay for a fee? Ebay used to have a program to do this but I am told it no longer exits. Thank you for any input or direction.

I think it depends on what the item might be. If it is a high-demand item that commands a high price, then you could get a lot of sellers interested in handling all the eBay Logistics for you ... ship it to them, and they handle the rest, like Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA).
Low demand or low cost items under, say, $40? You might as well donate to Goodwill because there won't be much meat left on the bone for you. The proxy seller might require $25 to photograph, warehouse, list, handle logistics ... shipping might be 5-$10, and eBay fees are another $5.
Other options you might consider: consignment shop, garage/yard sale, flea market

Just as an example I was at a large antique mall in Galena (IL) that advertises a large presence on Ebay as well. You get 50% of the sale and they keep the rest for expenses & profit. They hold funds for a minimum of 20 days to ensure buyer satisfaction before releasing the proceeds to you.

With all the smash and grabs in Cali, it'll probably be hard to find someone that wants to sell your items.
Set up a selling account and sell the items yourself.
