Sold to US buyer with 2 feedbacks. I used Ebay labels and shipped to address on Paypal payment (did everything I was supposed to do). Is this going to cause me INR problems or not? Thank you for your time.
Your item was forwarded to a different address at 9:27 am on September 16, 2017 in CHENEY, WA. This was because of forwarding instructions or because the address or ZIP Code on the label was incorrect.

Basically I am wondering if I am covered for INR or not. I shipped to address on the transaction's Paypal payment page through Ebay labels. I have no idea if any buyer has a forwarding request on there address or not. If it gets forwarded to a different zipcode can I loose an INR case even though I did everything right and according to policy.

I posted something from 2016 where there seems to be a difference of opinion.
Try contacting your buyer. Maybe they moved and are having their mail and packages forwarded.
There could be a logical explanation.
One poster is claiming that paypal told her that the seller will be covered.
Unfortunately others are disagreeing.
You might want to bring it up next Wednesday during the discussion, or you could try calling Paypal for their opinion.
But unfortunately so far I am not finding a cut and dry answer.

Think the postman pushed the wrong button? Has the buyer contacted you? Don't contact the buyer yet.

Maybe they tried a program change due to the hurricane?

Hear, hear. I'm voting for "pushed the wrong button" here, and I would not recommend contacting the buyer unless or until the buyer contacts you first.
Forwarding doesn't usually occur at the carrier level, but at the post office level or higher. It wouldn't go Out for Delivery and then come back for forwarding, in other words.
In the tracking sequence that was posted, the very next button push should have been for Delivery. I suspect the carrier flubbed the scan code, the package really did get delivered, and there will be no further scan activity. (If there is, the situation might get a little clearer at that point. Get back to us here if that happens.) I would leave things alone.

Just checked the tracking and it wasn't a scanning mistake as the package is back on the move again to the distribution center. This is really starting to stress me out. I thought I read somewhere (but can't find it now) that if an item is forwarded by the buyer then the buyer looses their MBG protection. Can't say if this is actually a policy or not. I'm worried because there was never a delivered scan to the zipcode that Paypal and Ebay provided me and said was OK to ship to. The item was out for delivery at the right zipcode and now is being forwarded to somewhere else. How am I responsible for this if an INR case is filed against me as I have no control over this situation? I wish I could get some clarification on this matter. trinton@ebay could you please drop in and let me know what the policy is concerning buyers forwarding their items to a different zipcode and how this will effect an INR case if one is filed against me.

Actually, the policy states Not covered: Items shipped to another address after original delivery.

And that is why I suggested a simple email to the buyer asking is he has moved and is having all packages redirected to his new address.

Before I message the buyer I definitely want to know if I am covered if said buyer forwards their item to a zipcode different from the ship to zipcode that Paypal and Ebay provided me and said was ok to ship to. I still haven't received nor can find any info on this type of situation. I'm sorry about this but Ebay has me so paranoid with their buyer can do no wrong rulings that I just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row before I do any contacting.

Yep that was the policy I was thinking of and yes you are exactly right where it specifically states "after original delivery"...which is, of course, no help to me in this case since it was only out for delivery then forwarded instead of delivered to the Paypal/Ebay provided zipcode. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
What is everybody's opinion on stamping "Do Not Forward" on packages? I could see how that might enrage buyers that have their mail forwarded and might open the sender up to a whole new host of problems if it makes the package undeliverable as addressed or something similiar. But then again, if they actually moved why not just physically change their address to their new address in Paypal and Ebay instead of relying on a forwarding order.
Also, does anybody know if there is any kind of verification (such as ID shown or something like that) by the person wanting their mail forwarded to a different address or can anybody just fill out a forwarding order for any address they feel like. If there is no actual verification besides simply filling out a card and dropping it in the mail then that is going to be severely problematic for alot of people both on and off Ebay. Again, there is probably a simple solution to this situation but because the way Ebay is so convoluted these days any little thing makes my mind race, whereas before common sense and level headed thinking would have prevailed.

That was brought up in the thread I posted.
But what about if there is a legitimate reason for doing it, such as a person moving permanently or to those who may maintain a summer or winter home and have their mail switched depending on the season.
