I have some items I want to sell. Of course there's a certain amount of money I need to make to break even and or profit. I kind of started a listing and so far eBay will charge me $2.00 to list it. So here's the question: if I list my item for $20.00 Buy it Now, what will eBay take from the final sale. Would anyone out in the eBay universe know. I would greatly appreciate the help.

What is the $2 for? Are you choosing an optional listing upgrade like bold or subtitle? You pay those whether the item sells or not. A waste of money in my opinion.
eBay will take 40 cents plus a percentage of the buyer's entire payment, including shipping and sales tax.
What that percentage is depends upon what category it is listed in:

Also be aware that if you promote your listing, you will pay the promotion percentage on top of the fees.

Selling fees depend on what category your item is in (household, clothing, computers, automobile). Selling fees are charged on total sale (purchase price, shipping, sales tax) plus 40 cent handling charge.
It shouldn't cost $2 to list item for sale. Are you using "bold" or "listing in 2 different categories" (you pay extra for that).

Here's a link to the basic fees, page, where you can see the percentage of final value fees that eBay will take for each listing category. For sellers who don't have a store, most categories are 13.6%, then as noted in the other post there is also a fixed fee of 40 cents (just 30 cents for orders up to $10).

Sellers who don't have a Store subscription get 250 free basic insertions per month, and after that each insertion is 35 cents. If you are encountering a $2 fee, that's for some listing upgrade such as subtitle. You can look up fees in this page, or you can see the itemized fees at the bottom of the listing page before you launch the listing. Experienced sellers know that those listing upgrades are rarely worth the investment, so they just stick to the free basic insertions.

Punch in all your data...make sure you know the FVF for the categories you list in. You will be charged a FVF on all taxes and shipping that you dont know until the items is sold, so punch in the highs as well as lows
