Hello everyone! I have been selling on eBay now 23 years and have always just had 1 account but another baby account with only 6 feedback for buying. I feel my store is getting so crowded with a hodge podge of things. My main focus on that for the last 23 years has been Gymboree and Matilda Jane clothing along with random things here and there but mostly stayed with clothing. I am opening a Cat Cafe in our town but will have a retail gift store attached focused on holiday only but I wanted to do an extension of the store here and on my website. I have combed through Redit and YouTube and vast majority of sellers recommended seperating out your accounts in keeping industry items seperate. I started loading my baby account once I paid for a small business plan and got everything set up. I have been monitoring it and I have very little foot traffic even with the 10% promotion boost. On the other hand my big account has tons of traffic to similair items (I am in the midst of transfering all holiday over to the holiday account). I only got 57 listings up and running but I have backed off today to come for advice. Would you stay with your long time account and just create different categories with subs or continue to seperate out? Thank you for any feedback!

I actually advocate just keeping everything under one roof - your products seem to fit together and there's a better chance of people purchasing across several markets unlike if you we're selling aquarium supplies and shoes, for example, or apples and elephants.
Also taking advantage of the holiday boost with an established store.

The big down side to that is the new account won't have much feedback. The more feedback the more trusted you will be to buyers. It also makes it harder to reach top rated seller and get eBay discounts.

Thank you! I was thinking this too now that I am seeing the results for myself. Both are promoted at 10% but what a difference in traffic my big account is getting. I dont really want to start over with the way todays algorithm works. Luckily I opted for the small business plan so as of now I am just out the $30 a month for a year, lol. Thank you for your feedback.

Correct and it is all buyer vs seller feedback. So many more cons to pros to doing this I am seeing now. Thank you!

I don't think a second selling account would hurt anything but would advise against it. By getting views, offers, sales, and etc it feels like ebay sends more traffic. It also gives insulation from a few a run of bad returns or other issues.
