I wont name the item, so I dont get accused of trying to gain page views or promote my item (how sad but it actually happens).
Last night I sold 2 blue widgets on a variations listing. In the message to the seller the buyer writes "please send one blue and one red".
I immediately messaged the buyer to confirm what he/she wants. No reply. I will be packing the order tonight.
Should i send 2 blue widgets or 1 blue and 1 red widget?

I gotta get my glasses script updated.....I read your title as "sticker" like 3 times!
I would send (1) red and (1) blue.
(honestly, has the ability to be an issue, either way).......lol
(1) red and (1) blue. With a big Seller Smile! 😁

What part of "please send one blue and one red" was unclear?

I’m confused on what the point of this post is since the buyer already told you what they wanted.

Is there any chance they will file an INAD when they get one of each?

I think the order sheet likely reads they bought (2) BLUE ones and the message note to the order says: (1) red and (1) blue.
The quandary would be, do you fill what is on the order sheet OR what is in the notes to the Seller? I would probably be in a pickle, as I print the order sheets, but those "notes" never appear on mine - they show up in the order transaction view and by then, I have usually already assembled my parcels and printed my labels. lol
If @inhawaii includes a packing slip, it would not match the contents....

... about as clear as my listing which lets you choose what color(s) you want. 😉
In the back of my mind I'm thinking what If the guy files a NAD? Ebay will not consider that message to the seller. But you're right, I shouldn't worry about something that MIGHT happen.

They probably hit the wrong button - send them one red and one blue.
And what the he11 are those stuffed animals lol!

You're ok with a buyer buying one thing, then asking you to send something different?

It's a tough call.
If you honor their request it's an automatic SNAD if the buyer wants to go that route.
Seeing it's your money how about you send them 2 Blue and 2 Red?

I think I'd send one of each as they requested in the message. Then in your private notes (on the transaction), refer to the buyer's request and that they asked for one of each color.
I'm not sure of it but I believe if it became an issue, ebay can see your note and verify that it was done at the buyer's request.

@inhawaii Here's my vote: Do what the note asked you to do, one red and one blue. Yeah, I get it, that's not really what they ordered but that's what they asked for. In the end they can INAD you for any reason, so at a minimum you did what they asked you to do. Then remain positive that you did it the correct way and let it go. Best of luck to you ....

Yeah I think I'm worrying for nothing. It comes with age. One blue, one red it is.

Just ship your widgets already!
One Blue and One Red!
Dang, it's not rocket science.

Agreed, and that would be when they clicked a Quantity of 2 and then wrote out, in their own words, "Please send one blue and one red." There is simply no gray area here.
The fact that they may not know how to operate the pulldown menu of choices in the listing doesn't mean that their order isn't still completely clear on its face.
