To Clothing sellers a questions.

Hi all,   just a question to folks selling clothing,  shoes,  accessories.   When do ya'll start listing for fall and winter?    I know some folks say they list everything year around,   but I do TRY to stay somewhat seasonal.   I think retailers start putting out their fall and winter stock in late August?

So,  when do you guys think is best to start listing these things?  I have a lot of coats and sweaters,  boots,  etc.

Hi

I try to do seasonal listing in my store also. Listing about 2 months ahead of the season can give your listing time to index and potential customers to find, watch, buy your items. Yes some list all year around. With a basic store that I have, listing everything all year would be more than the 250 listing I am allotted before ebay charges me.

I have a few sweaters all year long for cold offices and such, but I'm preparing to start listing fall/winter next week.  You want to be a little bit ahead of stores so when the 30 day listings roll off and are in ending soonest search the stores will have everyone thinking about shopping fall and winter.

I list some of the items all year round if they are a popular brand - they always sell. For seasonal clothing that is not as in high demand - I start listing it now as parents are gearing up for back to school - especially young men's and juniors as they'll be heading off to college and may not be home before Xmas break.

Hi!  I try to keep things seasonal too as I don't have the room in my store for all of it at one time (only have 250/250 basic store). There are just  few things I keep all year round but most gets stored in TL in the off-season.

In regard to your question: I will be transfering all my fall/winter things out of TL in a week or two and I will be transfering most of my summer back  into TL at that time as well.  Then I will go through same switcharoo process around the beginning of March.

Backt to school shopping will be starting before we know it!

Happy 2018! May this upcoming year be a prosperous one!

@mysistersclosetbyanita, I'm always looking for clothes - mostly for jeans and nice t-shirts, sometimes for shoes.  I'm on the east coast and right now it feels like 100º so I wouldn't be looking for anything heavy.

Would you mind if I PM'd you?

FYI: as i've seen one member say.." it's not summer or winter everywhere"....

keep in mind lots of stuff can sell elswhere where the season is different... or a temputure is cooler or hotter than average....so "seasonal" is a bit different on-line...

just saying....

I sell as many football jersey off season as during the season...so like that....seasons are in mind.

Hi, I sell long sleeve items all year round.  I figure sweaters will be put up at the end of August.  I still have Summer inventory to list now and will continue to list it until late Sept I think as some areas stay hot longer.  Does anyone know how long unsold items stay on my ebay? I would hate to lose those listings (sweaters etc.)

Stores here have their back to school supplies out and advertised. I have been selling long sleeved items this week.  Some people like to shop an entire season ahead.
