I'm so tired of selling on eBay..where is the actual customer service ? I spoke to 7 different reps getting 7 different answers !! So the not a described item was returned .RETURNED CRACKED ! Now I can't even sell it for parts ! Still have to refund entire sale. Where is my protection as a seller ?

Unfortunately if you had offered 30 day Returns (even Buyer Payed)
You could have deducted up to 50% as a Top Rated Seller
for an item returned Used or Damaged (for details type Seller Protections in 'Help')
Everyone has to make their decision on accepting Returns,
but when selling anywhere on-line (esp. so on eBay w/ MBG)
Buyers have many ways to get around a Seller not taking Returns.
Best of Luck & Plentiful Sales ...

I admire your courage selling these beautiful and extraordinary things given that some are fragile.
Was there shipping insurance on your return? Was it sent Priority? As a TRS, i’m sure you are aware you are automatically covered for $100 in insurance with Priority. Was it one of your more expensive items?

Sorry you are having a day.
You are a top-rated seller - any reason you do not accept returns (30 days, Buyer pays to return)?
There are so few protections afforded to a Seller on e-bay today, but tweaking that one thing, will work to protect you better than the situation you are in.
If you do not offer returns, Buyers often lie to indicate it is an INAD in order to have it shipped back on your dime.
Really sorry about your current situation, but would strongly suggest you consider embracing 30 day returns, buyer pays to return the item.

Sorry to see this happened to you.
Looking over your items, I am seriously impressed this has not happened before. Your items look incredibly fragile and I am sure you take the utmost care in packaging up each one.
Unfortunately as a seller here, if an item arrives broken, you as a seller are responsible for it even if the third party carrier was at fault. I understand that is unfair, but that is one of the many burdens sellers take on here.
Another unfortunate thing is that a seller cannot force any buyer to participate in any type of insurance claim. Since you received the item back, can you make a claim? Was it insured?
The only advice I can offer you and I am sure it may go without saying but that would be to add a little bit to the cost of each of your items in case of 'breakage' like this if you are not able to recover the loss from shipping insurance.
Wish you luck that you don't have to go through this again!

USPS Priority Mail thru eBay only carries $50 insurance -- check it out next time you print a label. It's a big part of why we print our labels thru ShipWorks/Stamps.com (I'm the online sales manager for a local firm). We get the full insurance coverage and insurance payouts come directly from the carrier to us, not to the venue we sold thru.
