Time to respond to item not received reduced from 6 days to 3 days

90% of the time those three extra days are enough for a package to shake loose and show movement. Every time I have called CS to get a extension they have refused, even when tracking within the last 24 hours showed movement.

@hioctane62 sorry, I clicked into this thread earlier, got distracted and should have refreshed before replying.

Hi @coins_artifacts, generally speaking if there has been an update to the status of the tracking within the last 7 days in a domestic shipment, or within the last 10 days for an international shipment, then we will allow more time for delivery. I couldn't find a recent request on your account where additional time was not provided when it should have been and then decided against you, but I'm happy to look into any specific example you feel was not handled appropriately. Let me know if you would like me to touch base with you via email for the specific transaction details and I will reach out, no problem!

thanks, this has happened to me many many times. The Agent usually says they can't grant an extension until the last day that i have to respond. Going forward I will fully document this and email it to you.

About the change from 6 days to 3 days. Can you speculate why this is the new policy? 6 days for tracking to update is not unreasonable. MANY MANY sorting facilities around the country routinely sit on mail for a week even 2 weeks. I have a package right now sitting at the Detroit sorting facility that I have to refund in 2 days. Yet other packages I sent thru recently were delayed there for 8 days or more. This new change benefits NOBODY. It will make me lose a lot of money. I was told it was to speed up the return process. yet a buyer is given what 10 days to return a item? Has that been decreased to speed up returns?

Sorry about my attitude but in the last year of all the changes ebay has made I cannot think of a single one that benefits sellers. It seems that every change just makes it harder and harder to make a living. Sellers need a bone thrown to them from time to time, don't you think?
