When I searched "Tales of hte Golden Monkey" in Best Match, yours came up in the top 5.

When I clicked on the lsiting, the buy button was still there and it worked.

If they are throttling your sales, they are doing a poor job of it.

Thats strange when i search it best match its not even in the top 20. I have caught them doing this **bleep** so many times.

Had a galaxy s8 once that wasnt showing up in any search on 2 different networks and 4 devices for an hour while i waited for ebay to call me back. I had the page sorted from lowest to highest so i knew where it should have been in the list. 2 mins into talking to customer support she searches and said she found it. I refreshed the page and my listing popped right inbetween the two it should have been. If you think they dont throttle orders your a fool.

How else can you add items every day, adjust prices 2-4 times a week and still have the same (with in 20) amount of orders month after month, year after year. I will tell you how. They limit item visibility.

Not following this. What would they gain by doing that?

A precipitous drop in sales is a statistical anomaly, and sure ain't cyclical.
Some can grasp that concept, some can't.

"Not following this. What would they gain by doing that?"

It spreads out sales and avoids discouragement, while concurrently engendering it.
Not exactly a win-win.

I like these threads. I tried Kiss Army jacket. Showed as #1 on best match. Still haven't found one yet, one of these days maybe (not).

How was your whole January last year?

The year before?

Hiccups happen.

Sometimes they are expected. I've kept good enough records over the years to know that I could close my Store completely from November 25 to December 24 and miss practically no sales.

But come Christmas Day and especially Boxing Day, things take off for the next month and a half.

Not every day, but I'm small time. It's steady though.

And it's not just eBay, it's my other online listings and also my own website sales.

Don't panic. A day off from packing is a good thing.

If on a laptop or desktop, clear your browser history and try again, you may be surprised.  If on a cellphone try ebay app vs browser and see if results are the same.

Why would Ebay know or care about 'spreading out sales' instead of just getting as many sales as possible? I would assume they want as many results to show as possible or else the items wont sell and they dont get their FVF fee. Escpecially for hot selling items. What does your phrase 'concurrently engendering it' mean?
