This summer and holiday season I used BO on many of my listings to see if sparked extra sales and better search result placement. I think it did rank my items higher in search results when paired with free shipping but I’m not sure it helped me sell a significant amount more. This past summer was a dead zone for me no matter how I tweaked my listings. This fall and holiday season I sure have received lots of lowball offers and surprisingly enough many buyers purchased at the BIN price without making an offer. However lots of offers came in exactly at my minimum amount that wouldn’t auto decline. Is there some sniffer site helping them? Or are they getting lucky that their first offer is my minimum? This seems to happen in the first week of listing and I’m hesitant to go that low right off the bat. Almost always these bidders reject my counter. Thinking in the future I will allow BO on items that haven’t sold for a while. Thoughts?
Also, any way to turn off the items in carts emails? I NEVER get sales from doing anything or nothing to those items. Actually do better sometimes to increase the price. Should be a note to the buyer from eBay to buy the item while the great price lasts. Haven’t they gone to business school, you can’t chase revenue like that.
