Only know he is making money on ebay don't know his password or username only name and date of birth. Think he may have changed his email too, but I cant confront him until I can see what he has sold. I know he sold new apple air pods last week, he told me for for£50 but  not sure. Clothes have gone missing too, how would I find out. Hes only 15 and would lie about everything so I need proof

It's very unlikely that anyone here would know anything about it or how to help you.

You are posting on the USA community page. Not something we can help with and maybe not even eBay.UK without some sort of legal paperwork. Your laws are different so would suggest you might want to contact someone in the legal field and ask what your next steps would be to get that information. In the USA under 18 is still a juvenile for most crimes, not sure what it is in the UK.

If he is only 15 he is too young to have an eBay account.

If he lied about his age to open an account  how does he get  around the fact he will need to link a checking account in his name to eBay In order to get paid?

The name and address on his picture ID that shows he is at least 18 years of age has to match the name and address on his checking account.

SO,,,,,,,please explain how he was able to sell something on eBay?

No way for you to prove stolen items were sold on EBAY.    Because your son is only 15 he would not be able to open an account under his name.   Could be using someone else's account or might be selling on another website.

I would confront him and let him know that you are aware of missing items.   I would tell him to "knock it off" or else...

Only knowing someone name and date of birth does not mean they are related.

A teenage relation is stealing from you.

How is he getting paid?

If he is a minor, he cannot be held to a contract so he cannot get a Managed Payments account in his own name.

This may be different in the UK, so you would be better to post to the UK Board than here where most posters are American.

Just a thought... You could try looking for new apple air pods that were sold in the last few weeks and see if you recognize yours. You can see seller names on there and the sale price. Take a screen shot of your stolen item. You can then do a search of the user name to see the other items he has listed on Ebay for sale and where he is located. When you have your proof, call the police.

My heart breaks for you. I've been in a similar situation and lost very valuable, to me, jewelry. Good luck to you.

Post to the UK forums:

https://community.ebay.co.uk/

No one here can advise you on the law in the UK, especially as it pertains to a persoon who is 15 years old.
