You sell big boy collectables.
In summer a lot of your target audience is now occupied with getting their fishing gear ready and their boats launched into the water.

Summer is typically slower and if you look around on the other threads there is an incredible amount of chatter on how slow 2017 has been.

"Lately its always typically slower all year round"
Didn't ebay reduce the value of ebay bucks? I recall someone
mentioning that on here and for the price driven, that could make a
big difference in whether they buy or not.

I went heavy in listing over the weekend and it has paid off so far this week. I guess the old saying is true. Back in my day when things were slow we listed more.

Law of averages, you are bound to list something someone wants.
I have been looking around for something other than what I sell now.
Every item that makes me think it would be worthwhile, Amazon and
ebay are already filled with dealers trying to unload the stuff.
Best thing to do to improve sales is to develop a knack for spotting trendy
items before they become hot. Get a shipment in, sell it off and move on to
the next soon to be hot thing.

I prefer to think of it as time to get everything listed as a buy it now with easy relists.
Then, when/if it ever picks up-I'm already listed.

Yes, but they have been giving out some great ebay bucks for different specials.

Sales are slow for some sellers all year round, especially during the summer months. So far, June has been one of the best months for sales for me so far. Listing new items will sometimes boost sales for some sellers, it has for me.

THIS is exactly what I was referring to in another thread......
we all sell different stuff and have different expectations and come from a different place as far as past sales.
The OP has sold 16 items in June and is commenting on slowing sales..... one responder says they are having "one of the best months for me" and has sold 15...... totally different expectations.
For me, which really means nothing to anyone else because it would be comparing apples to elephants.... even two sellers selling the same type of items you can't compare because of the wide range of other factors.... I am having one of the worst Junes ever (I think last year was slow), I usually do well in the summer..... I try to list items to target what consumer is using eBay in the summer while others are out doing active things, which I haven't made a concerted effort to this year because of personal things going on in real life taking up time.... so I can't blame eBay.... well I could, but it may or may not be accurate.
There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.
