I had a chargeback first one in forever. Said I shipped to wrong address but shipped to the address in eBay. Gets delivered buyer states NOT my address refund me. After opening up the charge back. Moments later eBay states already responded to chargeback, REALLY there is seller protection! Faints! Today I get a message that claim was closed and I needed to nothing. WOW Thank you eBay~

Of course there's seller protection for an INR, you had tracking stating delivered. That's all that's needed for an INR or an unauthorized use chargeback.

The seller protection for INR's has always been there provided you shipped it with a method that included tracking. If you are saying that eBay actually closed the chargeback without you having to upload the tracking number in response to the case then that would be something new. Maybe eBay has finally come to the realization that they already have access to the tracking information without having to bother the seller to have them upload it in response to the case. That would be a refreshing change.
It's the NAD cases and chargebacks where the seller has virtually no protection and is going to loose 99.9% of the time.

There has always been seller protection against item not received just in case you where not aware. Nothing new.

Yep the NAD's are a joke. Even if you type exactly what the item says itself. So not only is the company wrong about their own items you are too! eBay knows more than the actual company or is it eBay just sides with the buyer since that is the easiest and cheapest way out for them!

Because eBay actually handles and sells nothing they had to have something in place to address the situation so this is what they came up with. For me it has always been a deterrent for listing any high value items on eBay and I sell those items elsewhere. EBay has tried to mitigate the one sided buyer protection a bit by establishing the authentication centers but even those seem to have some issues but it was at least an attempt to protect the seller a bit.
To add insult to injury while the buyer almost always wins in a NAD eBay still retains their fees.

Perhaps this was the first occasion the OP had to utilize the Seller Protection and was amazed that it worked, considering how a lot of policies on eBay are heavily biased in favor of the buyer.

I was really hoping the OP would return and advise as to whether eBay handled this automatically or whether they had to upload the tracking information in response to the case. If eBay has in fact automated this for cases where the tracking information was included in the order that would be a marked improvement in eBay's process.

Exactly totally shocked in 21 years of selling only had 3 charge backs.

Yes I have returned eBay responded automatically with in an hour. I did not even know it was opened and eBay responded and told me I had to do nothing. First charge back on eBay in 21 years. It did seem to be automated since I bought label on eBay. From what I read about other this is MUCH IMPROVED!
