This happened to me in my buying account yesterday. I won an auction fair and square, no doubt about that; eBay said I had won it, and I could see my bid at the top of the bid history. Fine.
Only problem was, I could not pay for it. I mean, literally, I could not get it to show up in my Items Won listing. I could not get a Pay Now button to appear on the listing page, no matter how many times I hit Refresh. The nice green banner line was telling me I won the auction, but I had nowhere to go from there. The My eBay page had no trace of it listed there, except as a Completed item in my Watch List. I even tried accessing the item via the third-party app Pocket Auctions for eBay, which I have on my phone for bidding on the road, and saw the same thing there: I won the auction, but there were no links to pay for it.
For lack of a better idea, I walked away for... I don't know, 15 minutes or so, and came back again. Hit Refresh on the listing, and finally the Pay Now button appeared. No error messages, no explanation, not even a Please Wait or other error had appeared up to that point. It was just weird.
