Now we have to pay higher ebay fees if we reach a certain returns threshold? So I went to check my report because I'm in that higher fee threshold for a listing category and I checked the transactions it is holding against me, and several of the transactions were ebay cases that the buyer closed and a return was never sent back to me. Apparently you guys at Ebay aren't removing those transactions? Furthermore I had a listing where I meant to list headphones colored "Black" but I listed it as "White".
Just that one mistake really pushed me into that threshold because every transaction in that listing was held against me. This is absurd. So you get punished for returns that are closed? You get punished for a listing mistake (I accepted the returns and paid for return shipping), and these extra fees last for an entire year? So all you have to do is make one listing mistake and be punished for a year? Come on Ebay, this is getting ridiculous.

It's hardly a new policy, been in effect for several years and as far as counting returns even if they are not completed that has been in effect for many years, ever since eBay started tracking NAD or INR claims.
Nobody likes it but since this metric compares you to other sellers everyone faces the same issue so at least in that regard it's "fair".

Well you might get lucky and some ebay employee might read this:
Reason for such was supposedly to make sellers better:
Real reason more money for ebay....Maybe...

Yes it does for every sale/return you got for that listing before you made the change to display the correct color.

Not a new service metric and you state due to 1 listing error. How many total transactions are listed as defects? Has to be more than 1.
