The Community System Status Board--exactly what is it for?

Why is there a Systems Status Board in Community if it doesn't reflect site problems?

Right this minute this Selling board is lighting up with threads about a major listing glitch,  yet that board has a cheery green check in the Listing box.

Do those boxes ever, ever show any color except green?

That is why there is a Systems Status Board.

I ask this question whenever there is a major problem like today glitch.

The board is always green and it is a disservice to all ebay members.

How many people see the green board and think well its an issue with my account and have to waste time with calling ebay customer service. Then many are given false info from the ebay customer service  rep compounding the seller's issue and wasting their time. 

Ebay will tell us when responding to the board that "we will have to do better in the future" but they have never done better and the board is always green.
