This is is the second "thank you" to ebay teams this week for making improvements for the sellers!
1. they fixed the shipping page to show us ALL the info without having to click "see more"- awesome
2. allowing us access to two years worth of sales data again is a huge improvement!!!!! thanks
Keep it up!- when you design with the customer (sellers) in mind we get good ideas and products out the back end. If it helps sellers to do their job faster and reduces friction and user fatigue, it will be a hit. If it does the opposite like we saw with the unified listing tool rollout- sellers leave and weaken the platform.
Ebay will do just fine if it caters to its sellers and makes ebay great again- What are some bullet point changes or improvements that you as a seller would love to see in 2023? If we give them a working list- maybe it will accelerate the process.....
1. when you get counter offers it would be helpful to see the original offer as a reference point
2. settings should be "sticky"- allow counteroffers" is ALWAYS toggled on in the phone app- it should stay where i put it
3. listing tool is still full of inconveniences and annoyances (although 1000% better than a year ago)
a. item specifics disappear if you start to fill in but then look at another tab to reference what you want to write- causing you to loose your work every time- I should be able to click on another tab without loosing the dialog box
b. advanced features in description NEED to be available WITHOUT 2x the confirmation clicks
c. we need the link for the ebay shipping calculator on the main flow instead of in the popup box-extra clicks = user frustration and friction.... the fastest & simplest way to the end result is ALWAYS best
d. Category selection is HORRIBLE- we need to see the cascading dropdowns of all the category and subcategories again like in the classic- with the way it is in popups now, we have absolutely no idea of the subcategories and cannot see other possible better ones to list in- if you want to change a category you have to rely on the AI to get you close but it is wrong 90% of the time. This UI design forces us to go back to the beginning and start from scratch every time we need to change the category- even if it was just a simply final subcategory change- it is annoying and time consuming- just give us the info we need and show it to us all at once like the classic so we can make educated decisions about our listings.

On the new listing tool:
- Agree about advanced edit options for description
- Agree about category selection
- Big one for me is variations are in the wrong location. They put variations down below item specifics and this is something that logically one would set up before entering any item specifics. No idea why they changed the location on the new form but I can't even begin to tell you how bad it is. Plus it relocates photos below item specifics so when you're looking at the top of the listing form there is a massive blank gray box that takes up half the page prompting you to upload video, then you're not even sure which listing you're editing because you have to scroll, scroll, scroll past the item specifics to see your photos. It is the most ass-backwards set up I've ever seen.
Adding 2 years of history to the orders page was a good move, and when it was first added to my account nearly 2 months ago it worked pretty well. But at this point it's gotten really glitchy where searches aren't working properly which defeats the main purpose of having it there to begin with. So I'd like to see that search (and sort) fixed for the 2 year look back. If you want more details and some screenshots, I posted about them on (this dedicated thread).
For returns I'd like to be able to use one label when a buyer is returning multiple items. If they buy 3 items of different variations (colors) together in one order that shipped first class for about $5 then decide to return all of them, why should we be forced to provide 3 different return labels at 3x the cost when the items were all purchased together on one order?
For seller metrics I'd like to see eBay stop counting claims that are filed long past the MBG window. According to eBay reps they're not supposed to do that, but on my account there are several INRs filed 2 months after MBG expired that eBay is counting on my total.
For shipping I would like the option to enter a handling fee based on carrier.
For business policies they really need to separate handling time into its own policy and not integrate it into each shipping policy.

All of the above - plus I would like them to change the bulk editor back to where you could a. revise/edit in bulk or individually (then save & next) AND b. if I'm revising the description then &^%$ well show me the description text fgs not a blank box.
Thank you
Oh, and when you revise/edit a listing why do we no longer have the option to "revise another" ?

I forgot.... the absolute biggest improvement to ebay for literally everyone involved would be to fix the search!.....show actually real organic results based primarily on the title keywords again to regain relevancy. No item specific keyword spamming, no "AI" that thinks it knows what i want because i bought a pair of pants last month or my wife bought a book so now thats how it caters the search results! That does not work n a platform like ebay that draws buyer with a new or used unique item every search. This is not Amazon- people do not set up "buy again" and shop regularly- Ebay shines when it shows people the exact item that they searched for making them happy that they found something that could not be found anywhere else.......
Stop cluttering the pages up with ads and promoted listings- that is friction to the sale and causes buyer frustration churn.
It is absolutely a shame that buyers must rely on an outside source- (google search) to find items on ebay because ebay cant find anything.
This may sound harsh but it is the single biggest deterrent to using ebay that i have heard from thousands of people over the last 5 or 6 years.

Also - on the new listing form drag & drop for photos does not work for variations, only non-variations.

Totally agree!!! Thank you ebay! I love having the two years in front of me.
Agreed on all of your other points too, though I do want to add that Religion and Spirituality should have its own category. We are all deeply buried under Collectibles. As a Catholic retailer I can say that many of our items are not "collectibles." I'm sure many other sellers in that category would agree with me.

In the shipping section of the listing tool it would be easier and faster if we could drag to reorder the primary shipping option instead of having to click the 3 dots then hit make primary. Simple is better and the least amount of clicks to do a task is 1000% preferred. Its the little things that need refinement to get this tool back to what was taken away- the classic tool
