Thanks, eBay. Invoice can now have more than 40 items!

Today I was able to send a single invoice for 66 items.  This is a long awaited, wonderful improvement.  Formerly an invoice was limited to 40 items.  The buyer had to pay for this invoice before another invoice could be sent with additional items.  I am extremely pleased that this has been implemented!

This is good news.

With the 40 item limit, I had a customer that bid on auctions and got two invoices every week when the auctions ended. What I did was send an invoice for 40 items, then select an item that was outside that invoice to send another invoice, and toggled "hide invoiced items" and then all items not invoiced yet would appear on the second invoice. That actually did work, but they didn't have that ability  when they first changed their interface for sending invoices.

While that isn't something I would ever likely need as a seller (given what I sell), it IS an improvement, and ebay is to be congratulated.

Now, wouldn't it be nice if ebay would ANNOUNCE this? And maybe tell us what the new Max is? (Or do they say that somewhere?

Hey @somanypostcards! I wanted to jump in and add some more context here. We did get word from the Product team that the new limit for items within a single invoice is now 100!

devon@ebay  Thanks for getting that info. Maybe the Products Team could put up an announcement, since this would seem to be one of those times when seller engagement would be a good thing.

Great, too bad ebay didn't start that last week, 1st time I've had anyone hit the 40 listing mark but last week I sold 101 listings to one buyer, ebay sent 2 invoices for 40 and 1 for 21. But its all good, I ask the buyer if he wanted me to combine them all together but was over $750, he didn't want to sign for it so sent out 3 packages.

I hope I can use the new policy again and not take 18 years lol

I've only had to deal with this occasionally, but this is a nice "improvement".  Thank you eBay.

Actually I don't think eBay should have any limit.  100 is better than 40, but no limit would certainly be better than 100.

Yipee!  I regularly have folks max out on the 40 items.
