For some time now I have been using rubber stamps on either package or on the wrapped item to say thank you instead of adding a separate note on paper or sticker which only adds to more waste. I have found ink pads reasonable and last quite some time and I have several stamps from a simple thank you to thanks a bunch and several holiday or occasion stamps depending on the situation. I have appreciated the thought when someone sends me a note, but lament over another piece of paper. Thought I would share for others concerned about excess waste but wanting to say a simple thank you.

Paper comes from Wood and is biodegradable and helps the environment when placed back in a landfill.
Bubblewrap, clear tape, plastics. That's a problem.

It sure doesn't do anything for the tree.
OP-- good idea.

Your free supplies that ebay hands out 4 times a year includes some very nice stickers that say Thank you. I attach one to every sales invoice before I ship.

Paper manufactures replant upwards of 85% more trees than they take. They also have specific 'forests' for just this and have since the early 1900's.

I always include a packing slip with a thank you

I never received any eBay supplies with or without a store but I do have various inkpads, some are over a decade old and work just fine. Can't beat that cost.

I prefer my personalized note.

We do the same and I write a quick "Thank you" on it, etc.
You can customize the packing slip message and ours reads - Thank You for your e-Bay Purchase. We look forward to having you Shop with us Again!

I will add a simple post it note and say Thank You and sign my first name to it. I think it lets the customer know I personally thanked them. I also think it gets the customer to want to thank me back by sending a Thank You feedback. I think it works for me.

true, and i only use recycled plastics. or styrofoam when avsilable. i only purchase corrugated rolls of paper wrap. i just put out the idea of a rubber stamp as it is very inexpensive and allows me a better use of free supplies.

they are nice, but i prefer to use the free supplies for the more useful boxes and supplies when i can use a rubber stamp purchased for a couple dollare used and a $3.00 stamp pad. has lasted me for years and i have been given many more ink pads and holiday stamps.

agreed. i just find the added expense unnecessary. was just a suggestion for a cost saving alternative.

that is a thoughtful touch. i find when i purchase something and 1 is enclosed it is a nice jester but still another something i have to throw away. so i started using rubber stamps on the packages. quick, easy. fun. when i sell Christmas items i have a holiday stamp for the package, all on a small shelf above wrapping table. Just my suggestions.
