Did you mean:

Thank goodness I don't have many of "those" type of buyers!

Don't get me wrong.  I love ebay!

I'm not a consistent seller as I do travel a lot and out of my home base several times a year but if I'm home, I list a few.

Had this one lady buyer from the States.  There has been 9 messages received from her for the past few days.  The first query was legit ie my item not being received yet and had to explain that it was sent by courier and I will follow up.  The succeeding messages are getting silly eg did I send to the right address, telling me she doesn't have Paypal (which makes me wonder on how she even paid me), asking for the tracking number (which I've already given her several times), etc...

I've been very patient in replying, I think. I was telling my husband about it and he was the one fuming.

The last straw was the message I received today ie her receiving the item today and she thought it was a US 12? (and yet very clearly mentioned in my item description that it is a US 8 with measurements included).

It now gives me the conclusion that there are buyers out there who won't bother reading details and descriptions.  She may not be aware too that I am based in the Middle East.

She's a low feedback buyer hence was very considerate and understanding from the start.

I prefer not to say what I think of this buyer but I just had to block her. So much stress on one piece of clothing which was even sold for a pittance.

With how she handles and deals with an ebay seller, I'm now waiting on how my feedback would end up.

I'd be more worried that she'll try to open an item not described request - but you will win that as long as you have all the pertinent info in your listing which it sounds like you do.

No matter where you list - you have people that don't read the item descriptions unfortunately - and newer buyers are always full of questions and concerns even for the lowest priced item. Hopefully - she'll accept that it was her mistake for not reading the listing, learn from this and move on.

At first, I was thinking that she'll file an item not received against me.  (That I could cover as I have the tracking and the courier details have indicated that item was delivered).

Then of course, the item not as described.  But  since she specified the sizing I could prove that it was mentioned in my item description.

I won't be surprised if she'll be sending me more messages.

Most grateful if you could PM (private message) me this particular buyer id -

we’ll add that to our BBL too.

With the new Spring Seller’s ?Simplied Returns? enforced policies on sellers -

am trying to minimize as much  damages to frivolous returns as possible by minimizing such buyers.

Thank you in-advance for the info.

Buyers can check out through Paypal without a Paypal account. So there's nowhere on Paypal that they can go check the transaction.

@citrine146

Would you please send me the buyers name? I'd like to add to my "best buddy" list.
Thanks!

If you sent via anyone but one of the big shipping companies (usps or another major mail service, fedex, ups, dhl ect) you would lose a inr because eBay can't see the tracking via the transaction and they won't look up small couriers

I don’t get it. It sounds like a simple misunderstanding but you all go right ahead & block the buyer. More buyers for the rest of us. You should not be sharing buyer IDs for the purpose of getting them blocked. I suggest you not pm anyone with the ID. I’ll be reporting this because it’s wrong. I don’t see anything this buye has done to be blackballed.

I highly doubt a small courier delivered the item. The buyer is in the US.

Well, your listings have Europe sizes, and measurements are in cm.

Most in the states know little about the metric system.

My wifes clothes have 3 different sizes in some of them.

US, Euro, and some other one.

I could see your buyer making an honest mistake.

Thinking it is a US size, when it is not.

You think this is bad, the Facebook groups are worse.

I recently a seller berate a potential buyer and accuse them off being "poor welfare trash" and they wanted to report the buyer for telling them off.

Another had a buyer ask if they could pay for an auction the next day as they were on the road and not comfortable paying on their phones. Seller accused the buyer of all sorts of crimes. Buyer gives in and pays on their phone.

Seller further accuses buyer of being all round bad person and cancels the transaction. Buyer leaves justified scathing feedback.

Seller leaves false positive fb for buyer (one of about 15 they've left recently)

Seller calls and tries get fb removed. Seller gets suspended for 7 days because of the many false positive fb, and blames the buyers for being and I quote "gypsies, tramps, theives and religious gun toting snowflakes"

I so want to jump into some of those forums as there is a lot of false info going around in a couple of them - but it's not worth it.

Same as sometimes it's not worth BBLing someone unless you yourself have contact with them. With the millions of buyers the chance that they would find another seller who particpates on these boards are slim to none.

One of the Ops listings says US 8 UK 12, it could easily be a simple matter of the buyer getting confused as to which was which

They are great entertainment.

Back when they first started there was a decent chance that niche sellers would run in to the the same buyers, but when the true nightmares realized how easy it was too get a new account, all bets were off.

Thanks for all your comments.  We seem to have various views on this issue which is understandable.

My original post was being gentle in fact.  It could have been worse but I don't want to get too emotional about it and am just presenting the basic info.

It would be prudent of me not to share the actual messages too -  still a buyer and will treat all my buyers the same.  As for my blocking this particular one,  I don't think I could do another transaction considering what I've been through.  Surely,  there are worse ones out there but if I could keep my ebay experience as smooth and pleasant as possible then I would do so,  with whatever means ebay has in place for sellers like me.
