I didn't find any mention of this looking around on the forums, but either I'm hallucinating or eBay has fixed the problem of seller-created specifics dumping out when one begins a new listing using a template.
Seller-created specifics that are created in templates have been disappearing when one begins a new listing and enters a new title. This action had previously wiped out all existing IS entries and repopulated them with whatever was detected (or guessed at) in the title. This included eliminating any seller-created IS entries. For instance, I have a seller-created entry for Garment Measurements.
The process also appears to be much faster and I found the page jumping around less.
Just a heads up. The tool appears to be evolving (or I just got lucky this evening lol).
